PHOENIX (October 6, 2015) -Junior Golf University (JGU) is excited to welcome leading signage company bluemedia™ as a new sponsor of its flagship program, PING Junior Interclub (PJI).
Headquartered in Tempe, Ariz., bluemedia is one of the nation’s foremost large-format signage companies specializing in banners, wraps, fleet graphics, structural signs and more in formats ranging from window coverings and vans to multi-story buildings and sports stadiums. For PING Junior Interclub, bluemedia will create starter’s boxes, wind sails, banners, plus registration and scoring signage to ensure uniform quality and convey a strong brand identity across JGU events in Arizona.
“We are excited to have bluemedia as a sponsor of PING Junior Interclub,” said John Souza, Executive Director of Junior Golf University. “They do world-class work and they’ll give our events a professional look and feel and allow us to communicate a consistent message at every tournament.”
For its part, bluemedia is pleased to see its expertise expand to junior golf. “We cater to professional sports on a daily business, so working with PING and JGU is a good fit and a natural extension of our capabilities,” said Scott Hibler, bluemedia National Accounts Director. “We look forward to creating impactful design packages that support JGU’s efforts in promoting and growing junior golf.”
The PJI tournament series is managed by JGU, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in Phoenix. The PJI provides junior golfers (boys and girls, ages 12-18) with team-based tournaments. Five-person teams are formed by private, public and resort-style golf courses. Each team competes in PJI Divisional tournaments, one event hosted by each course within a Division. Top finishers from each Division advance to post-season play.
JGU provides online tournament management for PJI events and administrative support to PJI teams. In 2008, eight teams from the Phoenix area participated in the first season of the PJI. The program has experienced tremendous growth, expanding in 2015 to more than 70 teams with over 500 junior golfers in four states.
bluemedia joins PING®, Under Armour®, Aldila®, ECCO®, FlexFit, Golfweek®, and CMC Golf as a sponsor.
