Yuengling, America’s Oldest Brewery, expanded on their offerings in 2011 with the release of Oktoberfest beer. Now, after critical praise and an overwhelming positive response from fans, it has gained the October 2015 Product of the Month accolade on the award-winning GolfTalk Live radio show.
Oktoberfest is a copper-colored beer with a blend of roasted malts and hops in the traditional German MÄrzen style. Originally, Yuengling Oktoberfest was featured as the official beer of the Oktoberfest Celebration at the brand new ArtsQuest Center at the Steel Stacks in Bethlehem, PA in 2011. That same year, the beer was available at local bars and taverns. Yuengling Oktoberfest is now available in all markets in ¼ and ½ barrels, cases and six-packs of bottles.
“Yuengling Oktoberfest has become a staple at all of our GolfTalk Live parties in the fall,” explains show host, Tony Leodora. “As GolfTalk Live continues to expand its reach, Yuengling has grown to become the number one selling American owned brewery in the entire country. With products like their legendary Lager, Light Lager – the only light beer with taste – and now their Oktoberfest, more golfers and non-golfers are choosing Yuengling as their brand.”
“Oktoberfest pays homage to our German Heritage,” said Jennifer Holtzman, Marketing Manager at Yuengling. “This is a great medium bodied beer using Munich aromatic and caramel malts to give it a nice well rounded flavor which we then balance with Noble German hops Tettnanger and Hallertau. Oktoberfest has been well received by our fans and craft beer drinkers.”
