“What started as a proposition to help golf operators sell ‘off-peak’ inventory has morphed into a practice that is selling peak times at a significant discount, tee times that historically were sold directly by the golf courses,” Loustalot explained. “These firms are liquidating up to 10 percent of a course’s tee times in direct competition to the course’s sales efforts.”
