Golf Digest names 49 to “Best Teachers In America” for 2015-2016
Orlando, Fla. (Oct. 15, 2015) – A total of 49 Golf Channel Academy coaches from coast to coast has been named to the Golf Digest magazine list of “Best Teachers in America” for 2015-2016, with six members of the newly formed network of instructors selected to the prestigious “Top 50” list unveiled in the November issue.
“The quality and depth of the talent among Golf Channel Academy instructors is exemplified by this prestigious list,” said Todd Wilson, CEO, Golf Channel Academy.
Golf Channel Academy instructors earning honors on the Golf Digest “Top 50” list:
• No. 5 Mike Bender of Lake Mary, Fla.
• No. 8 Martin Hall of West Palm Beach, Fla.
• No. 16 Pia Nilsson of Scottsdale, Ariz.
• No. 25 Lynn Marriott of Scottsdale, Ariz.
• No. 48 Kevin Weeks of Lemont, Ill.
• No. 50 Todd Sones of Vernon Hills, Ill.
Ranked No. 1 in their states are Erika Larkin of Bristow, Va.; Trent Wearner of Englewood, Colo.; and Dana Rader of Charlotte, N.C.
And dominating the Southern California region is the Puterbaugh family – Kip, Jamie, and Jason – from Golf Channel Academy at the Kip Puterbaugh Aviara Golf Academy in Carlsbad with all three among the best in California.
The 49 coaches honored by Golf Digest are among the game’s most influential and recognizable teachers. This year, they came together to establish a dedicated network of instruction facilities with the active support of Golf Channel, the game’s leading global multimedia and golf entertainment source.
