The biennial “Best Teachers in Your State” rankings are based on a nationwide survey of more than 1,200 teaching professionals.
Cooke, Director of Instruction at the resort’s world-class Golf Learning Center, was also recently named “Teacher of the Year” by the Carolinas PGA Section. In 2009, he was awarded “Master Professional in Instruction” status by the PGA of America. Due to his work with junior golfers, he was recognized as a “U.S. Kids Top 50 Instructor” (2009). Cooke has been named to Golf Digest’s “Best Young Teachers” (2010 – 2013).
Cooke’s instructional articles have been featured in Golf Illustrated and Golf Digest. He has additionally made several guest appearances on Golf Channel’s “The Turn” as well as the Golf Channel’s online “Weekly Fix.”
Barry has been with The Sea Pines Resort for more than 20 years. He’s been ranked by GOLF Magazine as a “Top 100 Teacher” and was named Carolinas PGA Section “Palmer Maples Teacher of the Year” in 2011. He’s made numerous appearances on Golf Channel shows including “The Turn”, “All About Golf” and “Tips from the Pros.” He also contributes to GOLF Magazine.

The facility features state-of-the-art technology including Trackman, FlightScope Radar, V1 video analysis, K-Vest 3D, and SAM Putt Lab as well as “on the course” instruction. The facility also includes four putting greens, separate chipping/bunker green, and wedge practice zone for golfers to work with instructors and enhance their short game.
