PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (November 3, 2015) – For many people, golf is just a game. But for the more-than-two-million people who are employed in the golf industry, it is a business. A very serious business … and one that has had its challenges throughout the majority of this century.
Dealing with those challenges confronts industry leaders daily. And GolfTalk Live is in touch with those leaders on a regular basis.
That’s why show host Tony Leodora has put together a very special show that will air on Saturday, November 7 – the Golf and Business Show.
It will be recorded during a special gathering at Black Cat Cigars on Germantown Pike in East Norriton on Thursday, November 5. Listeners are invited to attend. Refreshments, courtesy of Yuengling Brewery, will be served.
Experts from a number of different business sectors will be interviewed.
Jim Malloy, President of Commercial Lending for Conestoga Bank, will lead a discussion on America’s economy – its ups and downs – and how it has affected the golf industry. Is golf losing its corporate appeal?
Sam Driban, proprietor of Black Cat Cigars, will discuss how an industry like the cigar industry found a special niche in the world of golf … and how it created an entirely new market.
Phil Cavalcante, owner of Kutztown Auto – Cadillac, Buick and GMC – will discuss the car industry and its special affinity to the high-demographic golf market.
Bill Golden, president of Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday, will discuss the golf travel industry. He will discuss how golf travel is negatively impacted by incidents such as 9/11 or hurricanes … and how it continually overcomes these obstacles.
