(LUTZ, Fla.) – International Club Suppliers (ICS) – the sales and marketing arm for entegra Procurement Services (entegra) in the club and resort channel – has partnered with Florida State University’s Dedman School of Hospitality to establish multiple scholarships.
During the 2016-17 academic year, ICS will fund three scholarships for students who are interested in pursuing a club management career and, preferably, have work experience in the club and/or hospitality field. The students must also live in the United States, demonstrate financial need and be paying their own tuition.
“We’re excited to partner with Florida State University and its highly regarded Dedman School,” said Jim Bailey, managing partner of ICS. “For more than 70 years, the school has been a major contributor of smart, talented professionals eager to share best practices gleaned from Dedman’s fantastic faculty.”
Boasting a near 100 percent graduate placement rate, the Dedman School employs a global approach to ready students to serve a multinational clientele and fill the growing international demand for industry managers. Its global club management major is the only one of its kind in the world that combines a curriculum in business, hospitality and club management with international work experience and industry networking. Administrators and faculty members work with industry professionals to keep the curriculum relevant and to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas, as well as numerous opportunities for students to network with industry executives.
“Support from a food and beverage (F&B) industry leader like ICS is crucial to our recruitment of the best and brightest students,” said Jane Boyd Ohlin, director of the Dedman School of Hospitality. “These scholarships are an important addition to our need-based financial assistance scholarships.”
Since its 2002 founding, ICS has realized F&B savings between 5 percent and 15 percent for facilities ranging from exclusive private clubs to iconic resorts to municipal facilities. More than 3,000 golf facilities are currently enjoying unsurpassed F&B savings from the entegra Program.
Dairy, produce, dry goods, meat, cleaning supplies, paper products, flatware, glassware, tables and chairs are just some of the items available at very competitive prices via negotiated manufacturer agreements.
Complementing this selection are non-food-related items like office supplies, uniforms, and HVAC and plumbing supplies. Services, equipment and supply vendors such as Edward Don, Grainger, Alsco and Airgas offer additional savings beyond the scope of food and beverage.
Entegra’s “Product Match Tool,” launched last year, is the company’s latest innovation. Updated monthly and available to ICS accounts at www.entegraps.com, it helps customers maximize savings and efficiency by comparing prices for products a facility already purchases to those for entegra-contracted goods.
Beyond golf, ICS satisfies F&B supply needs for thousands of additional facilities, such as hotels, private clubs, resorts, camps, casinos and ski facilities, nationwide.
