Mizuno Golf Push The Limits Of Distance And Control With Next Generation “Shock Wave Technology” In 2016 JPX-Ez Fairway Woods And Hybrids

Norcross, Ga. (November 12, 2015) – Mizuno, a global leader in golf technology and innovation, has launched another design and performance innovation within its 2016 product line. The company’s 2016 JPX-EZ Fairway Woods and Hybrids will feature the next generation of its proprietary Shock Wave Technology®, establishing the line as its most forgiving and longest carrying fairway woods and hybrids to date.

Originally introduced in the 2015 JPX-850 line, Mizuno’s Shock Wave Technology provides superior club head flex on impact that generates increased ball speed and overall distance from the 2016 JPX-EZ Fairway Woods and Hybrids. Through innovative engineering, the team also expanded weight distribution to the toe and heel of the club head, creating a larger “sweet spot” and unparalleled forgiveness.

The underlying theme around the new JPX-EZ Fairway and Hybrid clubs is “ease of launch.” Launch angle has been a significant focus across the golf industry for its role in delivering ideal ball flights. Launch angle is also critical to creating ideal interaction between the clubface and turf from even difficult lies. This emphasis on ease of launch with the 2016 JPX-EZ wood line allows for more consistent ball striking and added confidence over the ball for golfers at every level.

“We truly believe we’ve captured the ultimate mix of performance benefits for fairway woods and hybrids with the new JPX-EZ line,” said Chuck Couch, Vice President of Product Development – Golf, Mizuno USA. “Our goal with this line was to deliver a club that addressed every concern – not only launch angle, distance and control, but also efficient and consistent ball striking. We are also very excited to see Luke Donald utilizing the Shock Wave Technology in his fairway and hybrid clubs.”

Furthermore, the 2016 line features an optimized head design that’s larger, yet with a lower profile than its predecessor. The result is higher ball flight, critical to generating more distance. The JPX-EZ Fairway Woods also feature Mizuno’s Quick Switch® Technology allowing golfers to quickly modify the loft and lie angle up to four degrees for more-balanced performance, superior distance and maximum forgiveness.

JPX-EZ Fairway Wood

In addition to Shock Wave and Quick Switch® Technologies, Mizuno’s JPX-EZ Fairway Woods utilize HOT METAL face design with ultra-thin maraging steel to create increased ball speed for maximum distance. The new face design combined with H.I.T. (Harmonic Impact Technology) ensures a powerful sound with the ultimate Mizuno feel at impact.

JPX-EZ Hybrid

Utilizing the same HOT METAL technology as the JPX-EZ Fairway Woods, the JPX-EZ Hybrids were developed with a low profile for easier, higher ball flight in any conditions. Engineers moved additional weight to the back of the club head to optimize launch trajectory, making the 2016 JPX-EZ Hybrids extremely forgiving and suitable for golfers of any level. Standard with Mizuno’s equipment, the JPX-EZ Hybrids come equipped with H.I.T for a solid sound and feel when striking the ball.
