York, PA, November 16, 2015 – Club Management magazine has named Gregory J. Patterson, 2015 Club Executive of the Year. A member of the Golden State Chapter of the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA), Patterson serves as General Manager of The Beach Club, in Santa Monica, California. His professional career has earned him several opportunities to develop highly effective leadership teams. He recently oversaw a construction and modernization project of $6 million that was under budget, while increasing club usage and food service numbers with less than half the clubhouse open. Gregg was an adjunct professor at Cal Poly Pomona teaching Hotel and Tourism. Patterson has also been a long-time and passionate speaker at the CMAA World Conference on Club Management.

As described by Andrea Curthoys, CCM, Assistant Manager at The Beach Club, Patterson demonstrates authenticity, enthusiasm, passion and breadth of knowledge for the Club Management Industry. His influence on the members and staff has made his reputation as an outstanding manager in all facets of his career. Gregg’s inherent goodness, his love of knowledge, teaching and mentoring, and his fundamental belief that we can each get better everyday has truly earned him this award.

The award is sponsored by Global Golf Advisors, Inc. Henry DeLozier, a principal, said, “Gregg merges energy and insight with a great passion for the business of club management. We, at Global Golf Advisors, are pleased to play our part in recognizing his years of encouraging club managers to better serve their members.”

The full cover story on Gregg Patterson, 2015 Club Executive of the Year can be seen in the Winter 2016 issue of Club Management magazine.
