Food & Beverage Is Important In Course Selection!

November 24, 2015

Would it surprise you that amongst golfers in Southeast Asia, what a golf club offers in terms of food and beverage services is a critical consideration when it comes to whether a club gets picked for a round of golf?
How often have you played at a golf course where you have virtually dropped to your knees because of the non-availability of ice-cold beverages on the golf course? How about food at the club house? You arrive at the club house famished after a tiring round of golf only to find out that there is only a limited range of items available from the club’s menu?
These are irritating situations that do not necessarily help deliver a good golf experience to golfers.
The just released ASIAN GOLF PROFILES, the first-ever syndicated research undertaken in the region since golf was first introduced more than 143 years ago to the region, reveals that an overwhelming 92% of all respondents consider the availability of food and beverage services on course VERY IMPORTANT!
This finding in itself is justification for golf clubs in Southeast Asia to swing into action to work on a food and beverage service that will add to the total experience of playing golf.
Just imagine if clubs stepped up service standards what golfers can expect:
• An ice-cold beverage delivered by an F&B cart.
• Snacks and finger food on demand at strategic points of a golf course.
• A phone-in service to have food ordered just prior to the end of a round of golf and to be waiting hot and ready at the club house when a golfer returns after play.
Just some examples of how club operators can listen to golfers and help make playing golf a fun experience!
ASIAN GOLF PROFILES has provided the facts and now, it’s time for action. There are a total of 62 data fields covered and the complete list of questions can be viewed by clicking on this link: View Questionnaire and Download PDF: http://goo.gl/uhYV7O
