Industry veteran joins team at North San Diego County Club
NORTHBROOK, Ill., Dec. 1, 2015 – KemperSports announced today that industry veteran Russ Onizuka has transitioned to general manager at The Crossings at Carlsbad in Carlsbad, Calif. Onizuka will be tasked with running all aspects of the club with a strong emphasis on operational efficiencies, engaging additional food and beverage opportunities and continued focus on customer service training at the Club.
Onizuka joins the team at The Crossings after serving for the last two years at Black Gold Golf Club in Yorba Linda, Calif. During that stint, he was successful in leading a team that increased profitability by 29% while continuing a track record of exceptional customer service.

Developed and owned by the city of Carlsbad, Calif., The Crossings at Carlsbad features an 18-hole, Greg Nash-designed golf course that debuted in August 2007. A 28,000-square-foot clubhouse features a fully stocked golf shop, the recently-renovated Canyons restaurant with accompanying banquet facilities, a spacious dining room equipped with a full-service kitchen and an outdoor deck with ocean views.
