Evans, GA – Champions Retreat, a Heritage Golf Group private golf retreat, opened their gates to the public for the first time on Sunday, December 6th from 10:00am to 5:00pm. The club welcomed over 1,100 guests from the surrounding community to ‘Christmas at Champions’ – an event benefitting the Augusta Warrior Project. In the rich tradition of southern hospitality, Champions Retreat delighted guests in their Christmas Village with activities which included:
• Family portraits with Santa
• Visits with a Princess
• Christmas Carols sung by a Barbershop Quartet
• Holiday treats and Grille House food stations
• Kids’ fun-zone included a bounce house
• Tractor rides and property tours
• Shopping Village featured local vendors and top golf brands (including Ecco, FootJoy, Polo, TaylorMade, Callaway, Titleist, Summit Golf Brands, Fall Turn/Allen Edmonds, Adidas, DeFoor, Ahead, Dunning, JoFit, Turtleson, Under Armour and more)
Christmas at Champions raised awareness and funds for Augusta Warrior Project, whose mission is to connect warriors and their families with resources that improve their lives. The August Warrior Project develops relationships, identifies shared goals with partner organizations and works with stakeholders within the community for a comprehensive and holistic approach to Warrior care. A portion of every ticket sold for Christmas at Champions was donated to the Augusta Warrior Project.
