SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (January 5, 2016) – Earlier this year, OnCore Golf announced its title sponsorship of the largest development tour on the West Coast, formerly known as the All-American Gateway Tour, and rebranded it the OnCore Gateway Tour (OGT).
With their sponsorship, OnCore Golf has brought additional value to the tour through a recent partnership with Golf Shape – a powerhouse in the development, assessment and training arena. “When we first announced our title sponsorship of the OGT we stated that the 2015-2016 season would be nothing like any before it and that we had a lot of plans for this season,” said OnCore cofounder Bret Blakely. “We felt that as the title sponsor, we had a responsibility to the players on the tour who are trying to become one of the next PGA superstars. We want to not only give them access to the most innovative and high performance golf balls and apparel, but also provide a select few with every tool possible to make it to the next level. Golf Shape is the perfect partner to help us accomplish that goal.”
Golf Shape is an all-encompassing regimen and program that includes golf-specific training on all fronts – physical, mental and nutritional. Now that the OGT and Golf Shape have partnered, they will be focused on curating champions as they “Grind to Glory.” This will be accomplished through the tour’s recently announced Team OnCore. Four players will be selected during OGT’s 2015 – 2016 Arizona series and will be provided the type of training and support top ranked tour players receive at NO COST!
“When we joined forces with OnCore Golf we knew there would be a lot of benefits for our players,” said OGT owner Dusty Dean. “Giving them access to the only USGA conforming hollow core golf ball in the market today while also providing our players the opportunity to have an active role in helping OnCore further enhance the ball was just the beginning. As a company, OnCore Golf has always taken an interest in the individual – professional or amateur – focusing on their enjoyment and experience. This is why we have created Team OnCore, so our players can truly develop into the player they know they can be.”
Thanks to the added partnership with Golf Shape, even more benefits will be offered to members of Team OnCore including:
• A golf specific training program for 4-6 days per week
• Physical and swing assessments using the best in golf technology
• AimPoint Express Green Reading
• Equipment evaluation and fitting by one of the best in the world
• A custom golf wardrobe
• 1 year supply of OnCore Golf balls
• Entry fees & practice rounds for up to 12 OGT events
“I am happy to partner with OnCore Golf and the OGT on Team OnCore,” said Deanna Zenger of Golf Shape. “Our offerings will really raise the bar in OGT’s player development. By using physical and swing assessment, equipment evaluation and fitting, as well as nutritional and mental coaching, we are giving players the absolute best opportunity to take the next step in their professional golf career.”
