A dozen popular trucks, featuring everything from salads to lobster, steak, sliders, tacos, Asian fusion entrees and more, return for the second consecutive year, offering fans a variety of culinary treats
LA QUINTA, Calif. – Back by popular demand, the 2016 CareerBuilder Challenge in partnership with the Clinton Foundation welcomes the return of Food Truck Frenzy to Bob Hope Square at the TPC Stadium Course at PGA WEST from Jan. 20-24.
Whetting patrons’ appetites not just for birdies and eagles, but for a bevy of culinary delights, 12 food trucks from across Southern California will descend on the tournament’s social hub, Bob Hope Square. Food Truck Frenzy brings a foodie element to the CareerBuilder Challenge and figures to be immensely popular with fans.
The food trucks offer something for everyone, including a variety of unique and delicious dining options that range from lobster, gourmet burgers, sliders and hot dogs, tacos and pizza, to Asian fusion dishes, sandwiches and melts, salads and other vegetarian options, and cookies and ice cream for dessert.
Among this year’s CareerBuilder Challenge food truck lineup is Cousins Maine Lobster, which has picked up substantial nationwide popularity and growth since it was featured on ABC’s hit reality show, “Shark Tank,” and struck a deal with investing ‘shark’ Barbara Corcoran.
“It’s a no-brainer to bring Food Truck Frenzy back into Bob Hope Square for this year’s event,” said CareerBuilder Challenge tournament director Bill Tait. “There is a large following for food trucks across Southern California, so why not dig into the variety of amazing, unique cuisine that our trucks in Bob Hope Square offer fans while they watch many of the PGA TOUR’s best golfers put on a show inside the ropes?”
The 72-hole golf tournament features 156 professionals at the TPC Stadium Course at PGA WEST (host course), the Jack Nicklaus Tournament Course at PGA WEST and La Quinta Country Club. The following food trucks are scheduled to serve at the CareerBuilder Challenge, and food truck menus and more information is found at their websites (Note – Food truck participation is subject to change):
