Club technology makes U.S. debut at PGA Show – Booth #3127
(Chatham, NJ) – VPAR (www.vpar.com) – the award-winning technology company and pioneer of Live Golf Scoring – has been granted Value Added Service Provider (VASP) status by the United States Golf Association. This will enable club managers, PGA Professionals and VPAR app users to update existing GHIN handicap information directly to VPAR player profiles.
Clubs that use VPAR to score their tournaments, charity outings and member events will now be able to pull GHIN (Golf Handicap and Information Network) data directly into the pairings area – saving time and ensuring accuracy for member and guest events.
After a tournament or outing, golf clubs can push scores to GHIN at the touch of a button, which will update golfer handicaps. The same process applies to users of VPAR’s popular mobile app.
“This is a huge step forward for us as we prepare to unveil the Club Platform, our tournament management system, to U.S. golf clubs,” says VPAR President and Managing Director Jason Stoop. “The integration between GHIN handicaps and our scoring technology is something our customers have asked for, as it further enhances the VPAR experience.”
Last year the VPAR Tournament Service was used to score over 1,000 worldwide events including: Fortune 500 company outings, charity fundraisers and member tournaments. The VPAR app has been downloaded by thousands of golfers, was a Top-5 “Sports” app during the PGA TOUR season and was recently featured in Golf Digest, The New York Times and Golfweek.
VPAR will be exhibiting all of their technology solutions at booth #3127 at this month’s PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Florida.
