The revolutionary new Base 2 Golf Tee is unlike any golf tee you have ever seen before. This new patent-pending tee was developed by Bill Chuang who got the idea while playing pool. Bill is a physician with a MD and PhD and a couple of engineering degrees from Northwestern University. He is a busy man and doesn’t get to play golf often, and says he is pretty bad. Bad or good his new tee may change the way we look at golf tees in the future.
In pool if you have two balls touching you can draw a line connecting the centers of the balls. If you hit one ball with a cue ball anywhere opposite the second ball the second ball will always travel along that line. That is the basic idea of the new tee, but in reality it’s much more complicated than that. Bill started using two golf balls and it worked well. Bill has since refined it where the second ball has been replaced by a sphere attached to the tee.
From the top the tee is shaped like an arrow so that you can point it in any direction you want the ball to go. Put a ball on the tee touching the spherical part with the spherical part of the tee in the back behind the ball. Swing away and hit the round part of the tee and the ball will go in the direction of the arrow. The sphere can be made in any size to make it easier to hit the golf ball. The contact point can be changed to control the loft. It also gives the ball more backspin and thus lift providing greater distance than you would get with a standard tee and driver.
The Base 2 Golf Tee is ideal as a tee prize or tournament favor, ASI or PPAI promotional give-a-way, fundraiser, or a gift for the golfer who has everything golf. It will soon be available at pro shops, sporting goods retailers, sport and gift catalog and online. For more information, contact Base 2 Golf, 218-391-5104, Email: pinchfo@yahoo.com
