Bedford, NH. January 25, 2016-K-MOTION Interactive today announced that it is launching a major new coaching platform at the 2016 PGA Merchandise Show.

“Cutting edge technology and unparalleled precision of measurement has always been the cornerstone of K-VEST,” explains K-MOTION CEO Brian Vermilyea. “But coaching-and the coaching/client relationship-has always been at the heart of what we do. K-PLAYER underscores that commitment to effective coaching like nothing else.”

Designed to improve player outcomes and revenue via means not dependent on a coach’s time, this powerful platform includes the all-new K-VEST 7/K-PLAYER motion training system as well as online connectivity between each, marking an important milestone in systems developed to help players achieve superior results.

“Actually, it’s not just a system,” clarifies Vermilyea. “When you look at how the components interact and complement each other, it’s really an ‘ecosystem.'”

This new K-VEST 7 platform is designed to empower professionals to measure better, assess better, coach better, and train better… and foregrounds a “learning loop” methodology that has always been implicit in K-VEST. Now it’s explicit.

“The concept is simple,” says K-MOTION’s Director of U.S. Business Development Steven Pelletier. “By using the ‘Measure then ACT’ learning loop in the coaching style-agnostic software, a coach can radically improve outcomes. The ‘A’ stands for ‘assess,’ the ‘C’ for ‘coach,’ and the ‘T’ for train.’ The world’s top coaches intuitively follow this pattern, and we’ve learned from them.”

In practice this means that once coaches have measured and assessed a player’s movement, they can then use the over 140 training activities built into K-VEST and K-PLAYER to provide patented visual and auditory biofeedback to improve movement patterns.

“K-VEST helps coaches establish what to focus on for the best outcomes with their players while eliminating the need for trial and error,” says Ryan Lumsden, Director Q Golf and consultant to multiple national programs and tour players. “This methodology, together with the use of biofeedback and exercise drills, helps accelerate learning and player improvement.”

Through K-PLAYER, a thoroughly integrated training companion to K-VEST, a coach can now take a custom-built training program and actually send it to K-PLAYER for a student to train under light supervision or completely alone. This creates a new paradigm in the industry as a player can perfectly practice what the coach has prescribed in the previous lesson. This environment, and the opportunities it presents, will provide coaches with more revenue-and their students with a chance to turn all practice into perfect practice that’s also engaging and fun.

Up until now, K-VEST, along with the other leading technology companies in the industry, have helped professionals typically earn more revenue in two ways:

1) Drive growth in number of annual lessons taught

2) Enable the coach to raise the lesson price

“The limiting factor in this revenue equation,” Pelletier points out, “has always been the coach’s time. What coaches can earn is limited by the number of hours they can teach in a day, so there is only so much income they can generate. This is the same for other professionals, such as accountants, lawyers, and doctors. But with the K-VEST + K-PLAYER ecosystem, a coach can now eliminate the limitation of time.”

In short, this is a major step forward in the industry, and means that coaches’ earnings will increase while player outcomes improve.

“The golf industry as a whole needs more tools and systems to help coaches more effectively leverage their time and knowledge,” says Tony Morgan, PGA Professional and Managing Partner of K-VEST. “Our new platform is a way for coaches to create more revenue and still provide a high level of service to their players. In fact, an even higher level of service.”
