Top training and performance brand introduces first-ever TriHinge practice club for shaping shots and the new Kick X BlackOut Bounce Wedges that last 50 times longer than competition.

VISTA, Calif. – Medicus Kick X Golf, the leading developer of golf swing training devices for more than two decades and the manufacturer of the emerging line of Kick X performance clubs and accessories, has unveiled two new breakthrough products at the 2016 PGA Merchandise Show, now in progress in Orlando, Florida.

TriHinge is a Tri-Umph

Medicus Kick X introduced its first-ever TriHinge training club, an innovative product that marks the third generation of one of the most popular and effective practice devices ever made. The TriHinge allows a player to practice not only straight shots, but also fades and draws. It will detect the most crucial swing flaws by folding/opening the hinged club shaft, and the TriHinge features a Kick X performance head designed to look, weigh and feel like a modern golf club that teaches golfers to hit straight shots, fades and draws with full control.

The head of the TriHinge has three adjustment positions marked on its hosel: Blue to practice fades, red for straight shots and black for draws. Its shaft also has a set-screw for adjusting break point tension. The TriHinge is now available as a 7 iron, with additional models planned for the near future.

“As their game improves, most golfers want to learn to work the ball,” said Bob Koch, founder and president of Medicus Kick X Golf. “The TriHinge will help them build a swing that enables them to hit the ball pure, with repeated accuracy and steady distance. Call it the Medicus method, if you will. The idea is to make it easier and more enjoyable for golfers of all levels to play the game.”

BlackOut Bounce Wedges Last 50 Times Longer

The BlackOut Bounce wedges are the latest addition to the relatively new and well-received line of Kick X performance clubs and products, including drivers, fairway woods, irons, putters and the popular TourZ golf ball. Like all other Kick X Golf products, the new wedges conform to USGA standards and were designed with a DBM (Diamonized Black Metal) Finish that will last 50 times longer in appearance and durability than anything else on the market.

Kick X Golf also utilized a VHM (variable hardness metal) Forged process that combines two different metals together: 1025 carbon steel in the hosel and 4140 alloy steel in the body for increased feel and adjustability.

The BlackOut Bounce wedges are available in lofts of 52, 56 and 60 degrees and come standard with True Temper Dynamic Gold shafts.

“We’ve been very pleased with the reception golfers have given Kick X performance clubs and balls, and are convinced that the BlackOut Bounce Wedges will enable them to play even better golf with greater success on approach shots and around the greens,” said Mark Adams, Medicus Kick X Golf’s vice president of research and development. “Our BlackOut technology provides increased bounce for easier playability in the short game and tests have shown that the grooves will not wear out and will stay sharp 50-times longer than any other wedges available today.”

Weaving Together the Medicus Method

Founded by former PGA Tour professional Koch, after he invented the now widely used dual-hinged clubs that help golfers address swing flaws, Medicus has since become one of the most successful golf training companies in the business, through a variety of training devices and accessories, videos on the short game and swing-including the popular “Medicus 5SK” program-and instruction both online and through its select golf schools.

The next step in helping golfers, Koch determined, was to build performance clubs that took the training onto the course, which is why he started Kick X. “The training devices and the clubs are designed to work together and enhance each other,” said Koch.
