FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Golf Skate Caddy, the Stand Up Golf Cart, will be exhibiting in Booth 711 at the Golf Industry Show in San Diego, Calif., Feb. 6-11, 2016 at the San Diego Convention Center.
The Golf Industry Show’s trade show is the premier learning and networking marketplace serving the business of golf course and club facilities including owners, operators, superintendents, club managers, buyers, distributors and more. More than 6,000 qualified buyers from more than 60 countries will be in attendance. Golf Skate Caddy will be participating in a new event during the trade show, Electric Avenue, where attendees will be able to demo equipment on 13,000 sq. ft. of fairway and green as well as on a test track.
Golf Skate Caddy offers many features and benefits for golf course owners and operators. The unit can speed up play by 50 percent for 18 holes and can move up to six players per tee time providing additional revenue for courses. GSC is also equipped with the latest technology to allow users to play music and connect to their smart phones. With room for a single golf bag, a built-in cooler and cup-holder, the product adds a new element of fun and independence for players of all ages.
“Companies like Golf Skate Caddy are providing golf course owners and operators with the ability to drive more revenue through innovative products and technology,” said Mike Tinkey, CEO of Tinkey Works and the former Deputy Executive Director for the Golf Course Owners Association. “It’s important that golf continues to evolve and stay relevant to sustain itself in the recreation category.”
Fresh off the 2016 PGA Demo Day and Merchandise Show Jan. 26-29 in Orlando, Fla., the interest and buy-in for Golf Skate Caddy is definitely growing. “Last year golf course operators were curious and intrigued,” said Pires. “This year they were excited, knowledgeable and purchasing units. The PGA Show was very successful for us and we can’t wait to participate in the Golf Industry Show.”
Golf Skate Caddy is golf course friendly providing less turf compaction than traditional carts. It speeds up play and provides a unique marketing draw over courses that don’t offer this fun exciting amenity.
“Our members simply love it,” said Robert Parody, General Manager, Ocala Preserve, Ocala, Fla.
Traditionally, golf has been a game that focused on walking and individual play. The modern golf age brought on the development of expansive course designs for resorts and real estate communities that forced the implementation of the two-person golf cart. Now golfers can enjoy that freedom and fitness riding a Golf Skate Caddy that walking used to provide.
“Our goal is to grow the game and make the game more fun for everyone,” said Pires. “We are currently in conversations with several Veteran’s organizations to provide Golf Skate Caddies for their golf and rehabilitation programs to assist our vets in becoming more mobile, independent, and better able to enjoy this great game.”
