2016 Ryder Cup captain set to game the company’s Model 1 Arm Lock putter
(TINLEY PARK, Il) – Bettinardi Golf – makers of the world’s finest golf products – announces Darren Clarke, 2016 Ryder Cup Captain, as the newest member of the company’s ever-growing professional Tour Staff.
With more than twenty worldwide career victories, including the 2011 Open Championship at Royal St. George’s, the 47-year-old Ulsterman joins the likes of other multiple PGA Tour winners Matt Kuchar and Brian Gay in trusting Bettinardi fine milled putters. Clarke has elected to play the Model 1 head design combined with Arm Lock technology, a unique shaft system, engineered as an alternative for players impacted by the anchoring ban, that ensures a smooth, stable and consistent stroke.
“Throughout my career, I have sought equipment that looks beautiful, feels great and performs even better,” says Darren Clarke, 2016 Ryder Cup Captain for Team Europe. “Whether it’s my cars, clothing or clubs, I care deeply about quality and craftsmanship which continue to be inherent traits that Bettinardi products have in spades.”
Designed by Robert Bettinardi and an elite team of engineers, all putters are milled and assembled in the USA at Bettinardi Golf’s 40,000 square foot, state of the art manufacturing facility outside of Chicago, Illinois.
“Darren is a discerning player and natural-born leader, one whose impressive game has earned him universal respect throughout the global golfing community,” says Robert Bettinardi, President and CEO of Bettinardi Golf. “As a Major Champion, and now Ryder Cup Captain, he is a perfect fit for the Bettinardi team and will carry our torch of precision, performance and excellence with pride.”
Beyond an expanded Tour Staff, Bettinardi adds new putters to its 2016 catalog. Updated models include an entirely revamped BB Series, the introduction of a high M.O.I. iNOVAi 3.0 design and the Studio Stock 6, a timeless silhouette associated with the greatest putters of all time. Holding over from the previous season include the popular Kuchar Models and Queen B Series.
