ORLANDO, Fla. (Feb. 24, 2016) – Celebrated Tampa-area teaching professional Scott Wickham, also one of the most accomplished players in the North Florida PGA Section, is scheduled to appear as a guest instructor on Golf Channel’s Morning Drive March 1 and 2.
The popular daily morning show airs from 7-9 a.m. Eastern.
Wickham, a performance coach and general manager with the Inner Circle of Golf at Summerfield Crossings Golf Club in Riverview, Fla., is one of the inaugural coaches in Golf Channel Academy (GCA), a dedicated network of teaching facilities operating with the active support of Golf Channel, the game’s leading global multimedia and golf entertainment source. Wickham also coaches out of Carrollwood Country Club in Tampa.
Select Golf Channel Academy coaches are being invited to appear on the network’s news and instruction shows, including The Golf Fix and School of Golf; Wickham is making his first appearance on Morning Drive.
“I’m excited for the opportunity to make an appearance on Morning Drive,” said Wickham, a certified golf coach and trainer with Titleist Performance Institute (TPI). “It’s an honor to be to be a part of the Golf Channel Academy network of coaches and I look forward to sharing some of my best insights with the viewers at home.”
A full-time instructor for 15 years, Wickham’s special areas of interest include on-course performance training and developing young, talented junior players. Wickham has helped more than 30 juniors achieve their goal of playing collegiate golf. Wickham himself is a graduate of the Western Michigan University Haworth College of Business.
As a Golf Channel Academy coach, Wickham continues to teach the way he knows best. The underlying philosophy of Golf Channel Academy is that the best golf “teaching” is done through “coaching” – that is, an on-going relationship between player and teacher devoted to long-lasting improvement.
