Philadelphia, PA, USA (March 8, 2016) – Golf Genius Software announced a “Free Pairings” pricing policy for group golf trips of up to 40 golfers playing up to 24 rounds of golf. Previously, the company charged a low fee of $49 to provide the best possible pairings related to “buddy golf trips”.
The announcement was made by Dr. Michael Zisman, founder and CEO of Golf Genius Software, who said, “The elimination of this $49 fee was made possible by the success of our core business of providing tournament management software to private clubs, public courses and resorts. Our business has grown to the point where we can provide basic pairings at no charge.” The company charges $249 for a complete trip planning system – pairings, tournament management, group accounting, trip books and other features.
Golf Genius Software has become the leader in creating pairings for “golf buddy trips.” The Company’s technology ensures that everyone plays with everyone about the same number of times. “This has been a challenging problem for anyone responsible for organizing such trips,” Zisman said. He noted that for a group of 12 golfers playing 6 rounds of golf (the most common “golf buddy trip”), the number of possible schedules for placing 12 golfers into three foursomes over six rounds of golf is 8,000 times a trillion! Finding the best possible schedule is a very complex mathematical problem first solved in 2009 by Dr. Zisman, who holds a Ph.D. in Operations Research and is a recognized pioneer in the field of e-mail technology.

In a few moments, a spreadsheet will be e-mailed with the best possible pairings. Private clubs and resorts that subscribe to Golf Genius have free access to the trip planning software to assist members in planning trips.
