WEST POINT, MISSISSIPPI (March 8, 2016) – Gary Billington has been appointed as the sales and marketing manager for the new Mossy Oak Golf Club in West Point, Mississippi, which is set to open Sept. 2, 2016. In this role, Billington will provide oversight and strategic leadership for all aspects of sales and marketing initiatives for this new 7,500 yard course designed by renowned golf course architect Gil Hanse.
A native of West Point, Mississippi, Billington returns to the area after two years with Vanguard Group, the world’s largest mutual fund company. At Vanguard Group, Billington worked in the Voyager Select Services where he advised clients on investment strategies. During his tenure with Vanguard, he was selected to the company’s pilot team for its Personal Advisor Services, where he served as a mentor for new employees to improve the company’s customer service skills and investment acumen.

Billington graduated Magna Cum Laude from Mississippi State University in 2011, where he received a bachelor of science in Business Administration in Finance. After graduation, he obtained internships with Congressman Alan Nunnelee in Washington D.C. and The Walt Disney Company in Orlando, Florida, before taking a position with the Vanguard Group in October, 2013.
