LAKE MARY, FL (March 22, 2016) – Former LPGA Tour and current LPGA Legends Tour player Kris Tschetter will serve as Master of Ceremonies for the 26th Annual ING Spring Conference May 22-26 at Zermatt Resort in the Heber Valley region of Utah.
Anyone in the golf industry or media is invited to attend the conference, conducted by the non-profit International Network of Golf, where media and the golf industry connect. Industry executives from companies large and small, and from every segment of the industry, will join golf media of all types at this annual gathering. Call 407-328-0500, ext. 1 for details.
Several new products will be launched at the ING Spring Conference. Golf equipment companies large and small will be on hand to display products for testing by dozens of media members representing a combined audience of millions of golfers. There will also be educational sessions geared toward the conference theme, “Bridging Golf’s Generation Gap.”
Tschetter joined the LPGA tour in 1988 after graduating from Texas Christian University with a Radio, TV and Film Major. She had two wins, 10 2nd place finishes, 50 top 10s, and approximately $3 million in career earnings. She won her first start on the LPGA Legends Tour in 2015, the Walgreens Charity Classic in Arizona, beating Juli Inkster in a playoff.
Tschetter, who has been very successful in various business ventures, was recently named Director of Community Relations for 18Birdies, a new integrated golf platform powering the next generation of golf technology.
18Birdies launched its integrated golf platform at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando. The 18Birdies golf platform provides golfers with an easy-to-use mobile app that helps make golf more fun and exciting and provides courses with a leading edge course management system. 18Birdies gives the golf community the opportunity to track, compete and connect in real-time on their mobile devices and is available via iTunes and Google Play.
“We wanted to provide the golf community with a simple and intuitive experience that uses the power of technology, gaming and social to make golf more innovative and fun,” said Eddy Lui, Founder and CEO, 18Birdies. “As an avid golfer who also has a passion for technology, I saw first-hand how 18Birdies could help optimize the game for players and courses, and in turn heighten the experience for the golf community.”
