Angels Camp, CA (March 24, 2016) – Greenhorn Creek Resort, the finest golf and dining experience in California’s Gold Country, will commemorate its 20th anniversary May 9, 2016. To help celebrate this milestone, an illustrious cast of dignitaries who have been instrumental in the success of this jewel in the Sierra Nevada foothills will be present, including renowned architect, Robert Trent Jones II.
Joining Jones II in the toast to Greenhorn Creek’s first twenty years will be Fritz Grupe, the Stockton-based developer and owner of Greenhorn Creek, along with World Golf Hall of Fame member Patty Sheehan and former PGA/Senior Tour player Dick Lotz, both of whom were involved with the initial course design.
“Since Greenhorn Creek opened in 1996, I have seen this golf course evolve and mature into a truly memorable course thanks to the redesign by Robert Trent Jones II,” says Allan Ramorini, Head Golf Professional at Greenhorn Creek. “In addition, the Grupe’s dedication has made Greenhorn Creek an environmentally sound and socially aware community for all who live here and visit.”
The anniversary lineup of festivities begins with check-in at 10:00 a.m. and luncheon buffet prior to an 18-hole golf tournament with on-course wine tasting, food stations, and prizes. Following the competition, participants will enjoy a social hour, dinner at CAMPS Restaurant and be treated to a special performance by renowned opera tenor Dennis McNeil.
The public is welcome to celebrate the day with an all-inclusive entry fee of $185 (includes shirt, hat and commemorative swag). Non-golfing guests who wish to join for the social hour, dinner and music can do so at a fee of $85 (includes tax & tip).
Space for the 20th anniversary celebration is limited. For more information or to register, visit www.greenhorncreek.com, or call (209) 729-8111.
