When was the last time you looked around the room and noticed that every woman had the same haircut and color? Um… never. Not only would that be weird it would be blah. We all have unique style and genetics so there is no possible way that we all could or should have the same haircut. Did you know that applies to golf clubs too?
Yes, you can buy golf clubs right off the rack at your favorite retailer but chances are those clubs, although great clubs, are not the perfect fit for you and your golf swing. Not all ladies are the same… we come in different heights, ages, sizes, and abilities which is why going through a custom fitting experience is a must.
Your thoughts…
• I’m not good enough to have a custom fitting.
• I don’t play enough golf to need custom fitted clubs.
• Custom fitting must be a really expensive experience.
• I don’t live near the club manufacturers so it’s impossible for me to get custom fit.
• I’m sure the club fitting specialist is a man and there is no way he can know how to fit a woman.
• I’m terrified of embarrassing myself in front of the club fitting specialist.
My rebuttals…
• Regardless of skill level a custom fitting can make a dramatic difference on your game.
• If you wear a size 7 shoe why are you buying a size 10? Not all golf clubs are for every person.
• Believe it or not it’s under $200… AND many give a rebate if you purchase clubs so it’s virtually a wash. Or, how about free? Those club fitting experiences exist too.
• Although the world headquarters of many club manufacturers are in Southern California there are licensed fitters everywhere… including many golf clubs!
• Not true. Women work in the field too!
• Trust me… you won’t.
How do I know? I’ve recently been through a custom fitting at the Callaway Performance Center at their world headquarters in Carlsbad, CA and I want to share with you what I learned and experienced so that you can know what to expect when you get custom fitted golf clubs.
It’s time to recognize that all golf clubs are not right for you and your game. It’s time to experience what every woman golfer should – a custom fitted set of golf clubs.
