SCOTTSDALE, AZ – April 5, 2016 – Global Golf Management Group, a leading provider of competitive amateur golf events across the United States, today announced their second year of the United States Golf Challenge (USGC). The second season of the USGC kicks off May 19 at The Sound Golf Links in Hereford, North Carolina.
The 2015 season was a tremendous success with qualifying sites across the country yielding over 100 teams who played for the National Championship in Orlando, FL. The eight winning teams from the 2015 National Championship will face off against their Irish counterparts in the inaugural King’s Cup©, so named in honor of Arnold Palmer, golf’s greatest ambassador, a Ryder Cup Style Match Play Event hosted by the Lough Erne Resort in Northern Ireland on April 27-29, 2016.
The USGC is gearing up for the 2016 season and looking for Local Host Sites and players for this upcoming season. By progressing through local and state qualifiers, teams will earn the right to participate in the USGC National Championship to be held September 30 through October 2 at Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida.
About the United States Golf Challenge – The United States Golf Challenge is the nation’s premier two-man best-ball tournament. In its inaugural 2015 season, the USGC conducted over 90 Local Qualifiers around the U.S., 20 State Championships and hosted over 100 teams at the National Championship held at Disney World Golf.
