Troon Golf Academy to focus on player development programming
Fountain Hills, Ariz. (April 8, 2016) – SunRidge Canyon Golf Club, ranked among the “Top 20 Best Courses You Can Play” in Arizona by Golf Magazine, recently added the Troon Golf Academy to its impressive instruction and club fitting lineup.
The Troon Golf Academy is dedicated to creating player development programming that attracts new golfers to the game and helps current players hone their skills. The Troon Golf Academy will implement a number of group oriented programs at SunRidge Canyon, including:
• Martini & Mulligan Mondays – A women-friendly golf/social/networking session that introduces more golfers to the game and creates a fun venue for female players to connect with others.
• Trackman Thursdays – An informative instructional clinic that ties-in data using the latest Trackman technology.
• 20 More Yards – A driving clinic focused on adding more distance off the tee. The session includes on-course play at SunRidge Canyon and a custom-fit driver.

We need to get current players playing better and therefore enjoying the game more, and we need to introduce new players to this great game,” said Tim Mahoney, director of education for Troon Golf Worldwide. “Our instructional programs at SunRidge Canyon are focused on these efforts and do so in a fun and social fashion. Many times we incorporate golf at SunRidge Canyon with the club’s social activities at the Wicked 6 Bar and Grill.”
The Troon Golf Academy offers comprehensive instruction ranging from full-swing to putting and short game to on-course management, in addition to state-of-the-art video analysis. Students receive a take-home copy of their swing and a detailed manual to aid in their learning long after their visit.
