The event was held at TPC Louisiana in Avondale, Louisiana. Stuard notched his first victory on the second playoff hole in the rain shortened event on Monday. Stuard played a bogey free 54-holes finishing at 15-under par which earned him a spot in the playoff.
Brian Stuard is the seventh first-time winner at the New Orleans tour event in the past eleven years and this is a great achievement considering the condition of a golf course that was drenched by rain during the entire event.
