Program rewards golfers with more golf, surprises GolfNow users with free TaylorMade equipment
ORLANDO, Fla. (May 5, 2016) – Motivating golfers to play more golf so they can earn more golf is the philosophy behind GolfNow Rewards, a new GolfNow loyalty program that has become a popular enhancement for golfers utilizing the web’s leading tee-time marketplace.
More than a half million golfers have signed up as members and 40 million points awarded since the program was launched on January 1, 2016. With GolfNow Rewards, the more golfers play, the more they earn. For every round booked and played via GolfNow, a golfer will earn 10 points or more. Once 100 points are accumulated, GolfNow will send the golfer a promo code worth $10 off the next “Hot Deal” booked or the golfer has the option to save the credit and add it to future points earned.
“GolfNow believes every round is worth rewarding and this program is giving avid golfers what they really want the most – and that’s more golf,” said Jeff Foster, senior vice president of New Media, Golf Channel. “Add ease, 24/7 convenience and the biggest selection of tee times, which are the signatures of GolfNow, and you have a great triple-play combination that golfers love.”
TaylorMade is supporting GolfNow’s loyalty program as presenting sponsor and has supplied GolfNow with equipment, apparel and accessories with a retail value approaching $2 million to surprise GolfNow’s best customers throughout the year.
“At TaylorMade, we’re always looking to connect with avid golfers in new and meaningful ways,” said Mark Buntz, global marketing director, TaylorMade Golf. “Our partnership with GolfNow allows us to reach more golf influencers, help fuel their excitement of playing, and give them more ways to experience our innovative products.”
The first activation of TaylorMade’s new partnership was rewarding GolfNow’s No. 1 bookers in 2015 from each market with the “#1 Driver in Golf” – the TaylorMade M1 driver – and a dozen TaylorMade Tour Preferred golf balls as a way for both companies to say “thank you” for frequenting GolfNow’s online tee-time service. The M1 driver became the No. 1 played model on tour when it launched in September 2015.
