KBS Golf Shafts had a strong showing at The 2016 Players Championship over the last 4 days. In the top twenty finishers for this year’s results were SIX players who all used KBS Golf Shafts throughout their bags, which is the strongest showing of KBS Golf Shafts this year in such a high profile tournament. Included in the top twenty rankings were a 3rd place finisher and a course record tying round.
The KBS supporter who ranked highest at the event used the KBS Tour 120g shaft in both irons and wedges to lead him to tie the course record of 63 on the Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass. This score has only been achieved by five other players since the course was established in 1980. Though this player is often perceived as an underdog, we are looking forward to watching the future success of his game unfold. Overall, the Ohio native tied for third place with two other players in this year’s rankings.
Other highlights from the Players Championship include many impressive long-range birdies from multiple KBS loyalists, and one even scoring a 29 on Back 9. We congratulate ALL of the KBS users at The 2016 Players Championship.
