2016 Editors’ Choice Awards recognize the “best things in golf.”
Augusta, Ga. – (May 19, 2016) – Club Car is proud to receive Golf Digest’s 2016 Editors’ Choice Award for Best Golf Car for the Precedent i3 in the Best Club Transport Category. Winners were announced April 20, 2016, and are featured online at golfdigest.com and in the May 2016 issue of the publication.
The Editors’ Choice Awards were created to recognize the “Best Things in Golf” with an emphasis on lifestyle properties, products and services.
Golf Digest selected the Precedent i3 electric model for several reasons. These include the new efficient battery charging system, which reduces energy consumption, and the car’s built-in connectivity that appeals to players. The Precedent i3 is the first golf car with Connected™ technology as a standard feature. The editors touted this feature for its ability to offer precise yardages to the flag, a view of hole flyovers and real-time tournament leader boards. The award also recognized the benefits the Precedent i3 offered golf facilities, from the goodwill of satisfied customers to the ability to capture players’ emails (via scorecards) for future marketing efforts.
“This award reinforces our focus on experience-centric technology and innovation for both the operator and golfer,” says President & CEO Marc Dufour. “Golf course operators have long recognized Club Car as the leading brand in technology. This honor provides credibility from a golfer’s perspective that Club Car is enhancing the on-course golf experience.”
