Samji was a recreational golfer who carried an impressive handicap of 5 but it was her powerful drives off the tee that helped maintain her low scores. In 1999, after graduating from McMaster University where she played on the women’s tennis team she earned her tour card and played on the Futures Tour, Players West Tour, Challenge Tour, Asian Tour, South African Tour and the Canadian Tour. On Tour she enjoyed one win and several Top-5 finishes but even on Tour, it was her driving distance that kept her in the game.
After retiring from her professional golf career, Samji found the sport of Long Drive as it showcases her skill while doing something she loves and she excel in it. She has won four ILDC events. She also is a motivational speaker, excellent instructor and known for enhancing golf tournaments with beat the “Far” hole and more.
