IRVINE, Calif. (June 13, 2016) – Veteran touring pro John Mallinger, who carries two Fourteen Golf RM-22 wedges, finished tied for second Sunday (June 12) at the Rust-Oleum Championship at Ivanhoe Club in Ivanhoe, Illinois, in suburban Chicago.
The 36-year-old California native finished one stroke out of a playoff at 12-under par 276 on rounds of 68-67-72-69 and earned $52,800, his best pay check of the season. A Fourteen Golf staff player, Mallinger used the 52-degree RM-22 gap wedge and the 58-degree RM-22 lob wedge.
“Fourteen Golf would like to congratulate John Mallinger on his runner-up finish at the Rust-Oleum Championship,” said Masashi Kamoda, chief operating officer of Fourteen Golf. “We are pleased that John has entrusted his short game to Fourteen Golf’s wedges for the last several years and has been using prototype RM-22 wedges since earlier this year.”
