Tinley Park, IL, July 6, 2016 – Bettinardi Golf, makers of the world’s finest milled putters, grabbed another top ten finish in 2016 as brand advocate Matt Kuchar finishes T3 at the WGC Bridgestone Invitational. Matt has been playing well this season capturing 8 top 10’s, 5 of which have come in his last 6 starts. Kuchar, ranked 15th in the Official World Golf Rankings, moved up 15 spots in those six events which included three 3rd place finishes. Matt has earned north of $3 million this year which is good enough for 10th on the money list. Additionally, his stellar play has moved him to 13th place in the Fedex Cup race and 7th in Ryder Cup points.

“Matt is the best putter in the world from close range” said Bob Bettinardi, President of Bettinardi Golf. “He has not missed a putt from three feet and closer this entire PGA Tour season. We often get feedback from Arm-Lock users that they feel like they cannot miss from close range and Matt Kuchar is proof of that. With the anchor ban now fully in effect, we have seen multiple tour players switch to Kuchar’s style of putting. It’s been fun to watch him over these last few weeks playing so well. I think he is primed for a big win this month.”

About Matt Kuchar: A seven-time PGA Tour winner, Matt has cemented himself as one of Golf’s top competitors. Matt’s most recent win was in 2014 where he won the RBC Heritage by shooting a final round 64 and winning by one. Matt has always been known as a consistent player on the PGA Tour accumulating over 60 top ten’s since 2010. Matt has also received multiple accolades, including the Vardon Trophy and Byron Nelson Award for lowest scoring average, as well as the PGA Tour’s Arnold Palmer Award for leading the money list. Prior to turning pro, Matt played his collegiate golf at Georgia Tech, where he was a two time, first team All-American. Additionally, Matt won the U.S. Amateur Championship in 1997, received the Haskins Award as the nation’s top collegiate golfer in 1998 and was the low amateur at both the Masters and U.S. Open in 1998. A native of Winter Park, FL, he currently resides in Sea Island, GA with his wife and two sons.
