(RESTON, VA) – Grand prizes have been unveiled for the sixth annual World’s Largest Golf Outing, the record-setting fundraiser set for Monday, August 1 benefiting Fisher House Foundation.
All registered golfers are entered into a drawing for a trip for four to the Nike Campus in Beaverton, OR, for custom club-fitting and other merchandise. The team that raises the most money nationally will win a trip for four to Destination Kohler, future host of the 2020 Ryder Cup. Golfers will stay at The American Club and play the Irish Course at Whistling Straits and either the River Course or Meadow Valleys Course at Blackwolf Run. The lowest scoring and highest fundraising teams at each participating course will also win prizes.
New challenge coins are available for each team that raises $1,000 or more. The unique tokens feature artwork depicting the World’s Largest Golf Outing and Fisher House Foundation, and represent personal symbols of devotion for giving back to injured veterans and their families.
“There’s a deep vein of patriotism in all of us to support our troops,” says Peter Hill, Chairman and CEO of Billy Casper Golf, which founded the event in 2011. “These amazing prizes are extra motivation to generate donations which help our military heroes during times they need it most.”
Golfer check-in, shotgun start and entry fee – which includes a $10 per player donation to Fisher House Foundation, greens fee, cart rental, range balls (where applicable), lunch, WLGO gift bag, awards reception and on-course contests – vary by course. All are welcome to participate; a USGA handicap is not required.

BCG forecasts another record-breaking year for participation and donations, joining forces with Troon, Toll Golf, ClubCorp and others to host the simultaneous golf outing at more than 140 courses across America.
Part proceeds and 100% of donations benefit Fisher House Foundation, the international organization that provides free, temporary lodging for families to be close to loved ones receiving medical care at major military and VA medical centers. Golfers and non-golfers are encouraged to raise additional funds to support the worthy cause; donations to a team, course or the event itself are made at www.worldslargestgolfouting.com/donate.
Last year’s event shattered every record as 12,397 golfers, including 567 injured American service members, played at 132 courses in 28 states to raise $1,024,287. World’s Largest Golf Outing continues to grow as celebrities, including PGA TOUR legend Chi Chi Rodriguez and 42nd President Bill Clinton, participated in the fundraising.
