MEMPHIS, Tenn. (July 18, 2016) – This past weekend, Project X HZRDUS Hand Crafted shafts reached some incredible milestones in the shaft’s short history.
113 HZRDUS shafts were put into play across The Open Championship, the Barbasol Championship on the PGA TOUR and the Lincoln Land Charity Championship on the WEB.COM TOUR. This number included 22 HZRDUS T-1100 shafts which are still in the prototype phase and just introduced on tour a month ago. Additionally, HZRDUS was the #1 wood shaft model at the Barbasol Championship with 52 in play.
“The Project X HZRDUS adoption among the tour pros has really been incredible,” Don Brown, director of golf innovation for Project X said. “For a shaft that was introduced a little over a year ago to achieve this level of adoption is proof of the performance benefits and distance gains players are seeing from Project X HZRDUS.”
Project X HZRDUS is designed to maximize distance without sacrificing control. The Project X R&D team increased the full length stiffness profile of HZRDUS shafts to maintain low spin at higher club head speeds and a geometry that remains stable even during aggressive swings.
