(LUTZ, Fla.) – International Club Suppliers (ICS) – the sales and marketing arm for entegra Procurement Services (entegra) in the club and resort channel – has awarded academic scholarships to three students in the new Global Club Management program at Florida State University’s Dedman School of Hospitality.
Nicholas Fenske of Parrish, FL, Stephen Sakmar of Navarre, FL, and Cassidy Smith of St. Augustine, FL, will have financial assistance beginning in the 2016-17 academic year. All three scholarship recipients recently attended the Club Managers Association of America World Conference in San Diego and are also on the CMAA student chapter executive board.
“We established these scholarships to support preparation for the next generation of hospitality professionals,” says Jim Bailey, managing partner of ICS. “Growth in the private club, golf and resort industries mandates well-rounded leaders for the future, and we’re very proud to help realize that goal.”
One of the newest majors available at the Dedman School of Hospitality, the Global Club Management curriculum imparts students with the skills to become general managers, F&B directors, international marketing experts and golf professionals. An emphasis is put on internships and industry networking, as the school sees close to a 100% graduate placement rate.
Founded in 2002, ICS through entegra has achieved 5 to 15% savings on F&B items for thousands of facilities nationwide by maximizing the purchasing efficiency of clients that range from golf courses to resorts, camps, casinos and ski areas. The company also provides uniforms, cleaning supplies, equipment and a variety of other products at competitive prices.
