North Stonington, Conn., August 25, 2016 – GOLF Magazine has named Lake of Isles-North Course as one of the Top 100 Courses You Can Play in its September issue. Lake of Isles, a Rees Jones design, has appeared on the GOLF Magazine’s biennial list since opening in 2005. Lake of Isles is ranked 82nd on the 2016/17 Top 100 Courses You Can Play list, moving up two spots from the 2014/15 ranking. It is also the only Connecticut course on the prestigious list.
“We are extremely pleased that GOLF Magazine has once again selected the North Course as one of the top courses in the country,” stated Archie Cart, General Manager, Lake of Isles. “This honor is especially noteworthy not only that we are one of the top 100 but we have also moved up two spots because these accolades have become increasingly more competitive as new courses are being built around the country. Lake of Isles’ challenging and beautiful layout, pristine course conditions and the overall guest experience makes us one of the top daily fee courses in the country.”
GOLF Magazine also included a Best Courses Near You ranking for 2016/17 and Lake of Isles captured the top spot for Connecticut. Lake of Isles’ North Course is a par-72, stretching over 7,300 yards from the championship tees. The course features rolling fairways, island tees and greens and extraordinary views, which blend nicely with the incredible natural landscape. Lake of Isles has recently been named No. 1 Public Course in Connecticut by Golfweek, and Best In State by Golf Digest.
Lake of Isles North Course is open to resort guests of Foxwoods Resort Casino and daily-fee golfers. Green fees range from $125 – $195 and include a cart, range balls and yardage card. Lake of Isles offers golf packages starting at $199 with accommodations at the world-class Foxwoods Resort Casino.
