Swingclick Rhythm Trainer Notches 2nd Win On Tour

Jaco Ahlers captures his 5th tour victory

SOUTH AFRICA – The country of South Africa has a history of producing great golfers such as Bobby Locke, Gary Player and Ernie Els to name a few. At the 2015 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Fla., a South African company launched the Swingclick, a product that helps take the guesswork out of creating a consistent golf swing by improving rhythm, tempo and transition. In 2016, several South African players started using the new Swingclick PLUS on the Sunshine Tour. The Swingclick PLUS is a more streamlined version of the original rhythm trainer.

Jaco Ahlers, Srixon professional tour player and Swingclick PLUS user, was back in the winner’s circle with a victory at the Sunshine Tour’s West Coast Sun Challenge Aug. 24- 26. He posted a career-best round of 61 and finished the tournament at 17-under-par. It’s his second win of the year on the Sunshine Tour and coincidentally the second victory after he started using the Swingclick PLUS. His first win was at the Zambian Open in June.

“I have finally been able to quantify rhythm for myself,” said Ahlers. “It’s all in the backswing. If I finish my backswing, my hands, body and club are in sync and I create great rhythm. The Swingclick helps me create the muscle memory of finding the top of my backswing consistently and that’s the key for me.”

The Swingclick PLUS straps easily to a golfer’s forearm and with a smooth backswing, provides a “click” at the top of the backswing. As you transition into your downswing, a second click occurs at impact when striking the ball, and it clicks a third time once you have completed your swing and follow-though in a balanced position.

The key is to finish your backswing consistently. This creates the timing in your swing for your body, hands and club to work in sync and allows you to get your club back to square at impact.

“I don’t think I missed any greens in my last round at the West Coast Sun Challenge,” Ahlers said. “That’s the consistency that practicing a smooth rhythm and transition gives me.”

The SwingClick PLUS is also used at the Gary Gilchrist Golf Academy, home training site of LPGA rising star, Ariya Jutanugarn, who recently won the Canadian Pacific Women’s Open and her first major championship, the 2016 Ricoh Women’s British Open. Gilchrist, one of Golf Digest’s 50 Best Teachers, said, “The Swingclick is the best swing aid that’s ever been made. It provides the best practical feedback I’ve seen.”

This simple, affordable training device is making an impact. Could Swingclick be the key to Ahlers perfecting his transition and taking his game to the next level? Time will tell as Ahlers will face the world’s top golfers at the 2016 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, Oct. 6-9, one of the most prestigious tournaments on the European Tour.

The SwingClick PLUS is available in blue, red, orange, and purple for $39.99 on Amazon.com, Amazon.ca and swingclickgolf.com. The original SwingClick is $29.99. Quantity discounts are available for golf academies, summer camps and PGA professionals. For more information and video tips, visit swingclickgolf.com.
