St. Simons Island, GA – September 1, 2016 – The 2016 U.S. Ryder Cup team will be led by one of Sea Island’s most famous residents when Davis Love III and the American team arrive at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minnesota, to compete in the 2016 Ryder Cup (Sept. 27 – Oct. 2, 2016). In honor of this historic event, Sea Island, a Forbes Five-Star resort on the coast of Georgia and home to more PGA Tour players than any other golf community, will celebrate with a special package in honor of the Ryder Cup.
Available from Sept. 1 – Dec. 31, this special offer is open to a minimum of eight guests and includes a two-night stay at the award-winning The Lodge at Sea Island, daily breakfast, one warm-up session with Sea Island’s golf fitness guru Randy Myers (pending availability), two rounds of golf on one of Sea Island’s three championship courses and an option to add a complimentary third round, schedule permitting. Additionally, Sea Island will provide Ryder Cup format scoring and management for the group by a dedicated group golf professional from the resort’s golf staff. Sea Island’s package in honor of the Ryder Cup has a starting price of $1,200 per person based on double occupancy.
