We thought that we will give the golf world a sneak peek at our special custom-designed awards for the 2016 Asian Golf Awards.
This year, the Asia Pacific Golf Group (APGG), the owner of the Asian Golf Awards is raising the bar to acknowledge the fact that 2016 is an Olympic year and it also marks the 10th Anniversary of the Asia Pacific Golf Summit, the region’s premier business and knowledge conference on golf.
“The Asian Golf Awards for 2016 are highly symbolic in that each award stands for and represents the pinnacle of excellence of achievement in golf by an organization or an individual and we are expressing this high expectation and standard through the presentation of very elegant medals,” revealed Mike Sebastian, APGG’s chief executive officer.
Like the Olympics, the top award will include a “gold” plaque measuring eight-inches in diameter and it will be housed in an elegant presentation box. The first runner-up in each award category will receive a “silver” plaque and the second runner-up will be presented with a “bronze” plaque.
All plaques will be accompanied with certificates of commendation which have become the hallmark of the Asian Golf Awards – a symbol of excellence that is proudly displayed at all recipient clubs.
The design for the featured plaques was created by APGG’s Creative Director Raquel Arcega. “This design is very special to all of us and we hope that it is received in the same spirit by all of the award winners.”
The special awards which include the Asia Pacific Hall Of Fame and the Asia Pacific Life-Time Achievement awards were also created by APGG and specially manufactured in Thailand by expert craftsmen.
“Only the best for the best of the best in the golf industry!” concluded Sebastian.
The Asian Golf Awards will be staged at the five-star Hyatt Regency Resort in Hua Hin on October 30 and it will be part of the 2016 Asia Pacific Golf Summit. Delegate registration is now open at https://secure.golfconference.org/event/asia-pacific-golf-summit-2016
