Long Neck, Delaware (September 7th, 2016) – The Peninsula Golf & Country Club and Troon® are proud to announce that Robert Daugherty has been named as the new executive chef at the beautiful private club and community located along Indian River Bay and Lingo Creek in Long Neck, Delaware.
Daugherty’s food and beverage career spans over 27 years and includes positions at top hotels and resorts throughout the Northeast. Prior to arriving at The Peninsula, Daugherty was the executive chef at the AAA Four Diamond Hyatt Regency Hotel in Cambridge, Mass. While in Cambridge, Daugherty also served as an adjunct professor at Boston University’s School of Hospitality from 2007-2013. From 1994 through 2006, he was the executive chef at the Hyatt Regency Hotel & Spa in Newport, Rhode Island, where he was named “Chef of the Year” multiple times.
Chef Daugherty attended the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York and has furthered his culinary and professional education through the Dale Carnegie Management Training program and American Culinary Federation Apprenticeship Training.
