Angels Camp, CA (September 15, 2016) – A barrel full of premium wine bottles are up for grabs at the 4th annual Wine Barrel Open, set for November 3, 2016, at Greenhorn Creek Resort, located in the heart of California’s gold country in Angels Camp.
The competition will be fierce but after the last putt drops, the victorious team will earn the right to pop the corks from 32 bottles of locally-produced wine, including award-winning Calaveras County Zins, Barberas, Syrahs and other varietals donated by all fourteen Vintner Members of Greenhorn Creek Resort. Additional prizes include rounds of golf and lodging at The Caddy Shack, a five-bedroom facility located adjacent the ninth fairway and sleeps up to twelve people.
“The Wine Barrel Open is a fun-filled tournament with a twist,” says Allan Ramorini, Assistant General Manager at Greenhorn Creek. “Thanks to our location in Calaveras County, the outdoor activities, wine and outstanding food are integral components to the lifestyle at Greenhorn Creek and this event combines the best of all three.”
The event, open to the public at a fee of $150 per person, includes: golf; tee prizes, wine tasting reception hosted by Greenhorn Creek’s Vintner Members, plus dinner prepared by CAMPS. Non-golf playing guests are welcome to attend the reception and dinner for $60. Lodging packages are available.
