ORLANDO, Fla. (Sept. 15, 2016) – Eight-time Georgia PGA Player of the Year Tim Weinhart, and one of the top coaches in the Metro Atlanta area, is scheduled to appear as a guest instructor on Golf Channel’s Morning Drive September 20-21.
The popular daily morning show airs from 7-9 a.m. Eastern.
Weinhart, owner and director of instruction at the Tim Weinhart Golf Academy at Heritage Golf Links in Tucker, Ga., is one of the inaugural coaches in Golf Channel Academy (GCA), a dedicated network of teaching facilities. Select Golf Channel Academy coaches are being invited to appear on the network’s news and instruction shows, including The Golf Fix and School of Golf; Weinhart is making his first appearance on Morning Drive.
“I’m excited about the opportunity to appear on Morning Drive,” said Weinhart, who turned professional at 19 and, at 23, became one of the youngest PGA of America members to earn a Class “A” ranking. “It’s been a great experience to be a part of the Golf Channel Academy network of coaches and I look forward to sharing some of my best shot-making and game-management tips with the viewers at home.”
An accomplished player with more than 40 professional titles to his credit, Weinhart has competed in six major championships, most recently the 2012 U.S. Open at The Olympic Club, and 35 PGA Tour-sponsored events. He has qualified for the National Club Professional Championships 16 times and the PGA Championship five times. As a coach, Tim’s students have achieved success at virtually every level, from AJGA events to the Southeastern Junior Golf Tour to the mini-tours.
As a Golf Channel Academy coach, Weinhart continues to teach the way he knows best. The underlying philosophy of Golf Channel Academy is that the best golf “teaching” is done through “coaching” – that is, an on-going relationship between player and teacher devoted to long-lasting improvement.
