Volunteer positions for 78th KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship now open
POTOMAC FALLS, VA (September 21, 2016) – Golf fans in and around the nation’s capital can get up close and personal with the legends of golf next spring as the PGA of America today announced open volunteer positions for the 2017 KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship.
Those interested will be able to choose from 20 distinct volunteer categories, each of which offers an experience and opportunity for local residents of metropolitan D.C. to be part of this Major Championship, which will be contested at Trump National Golf Club, in Potomac Falls, Virginia, May 23-28. 2017.
“Volunteers are the heartbeat of any great Championship,” said Championship Director Bryan Karns. “We would love to see the community welcome this terrific Championship to the area and support the legends of the game that bring golf fans together. We are asking for the support of local residents, avid golfers and members alike to bring this storied event to life.”
All volunteer positions are filled on a first come, first served basis. The 2017 Volunteer Package is valued at more than $500 and includes:
• Ralph Lauren Volunteer uniform (golf shirt, outerwear item and hat)
• Personalized volunteer credential, which provides access to the grounds all six days of the Championship
• Food and water vouchers to use at any on-course concession stand
• A copy of the official 2017 KitchenAid Senior PGA Championships program
• Complimentary parking
• A one-time discount at The Championship Shop
The volunteer fee is $130 and also grants behind the scenes access to the Championship.

The KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship, the most historic and prestigious senior major, routinely features the strongest field on the PGA TOUR Champions. Anticipated players in the 2017 field include reigning Champion Rocco Mediate, two-time Champion Colin Montgomerie (2014 and 2015), 2010 Champion Tom Lehman and fan favorite John Daly.
