ORLANDO, Fla. (Oct. 17, 2016) – Acclaimed Buffalo-area teaching professionals Cindy and Allen Miller, the only married couple to have played on all four major tours (PGA, LPGA, PGA Tour Champions and Legends Tour), are scheduled to appear as guest instructors on Golf Channel’s Morning Drive October 18 and 19.
The popular daily morning show airs from 7-9 a.m. Eastern.
The Millers, co-founders of two Golf Channel Academy locations in Williamsville, N.Y. – The Wehrle Golf Dome and Airport Driving Range – are two of the inaugural coaches in Golf Channel Academy (GCA), a dedicated network of teaching facilities. Select Golf Channel Academy coaches are being invited to appear on the network’s news and instruction shows, including The Golf Fix and School of Golf; the Millers are making their first appearance on Morning Drive.
“We’re both tremendously excited to be appearing on Morning Drive,” said Cindy Miller, a former Golf Channel Big Break contestant (Big Break III: Ladies Only, and Big Break VII: Reunion) and LPGA Tour member from 1979-’81. “It’s been a great experience to be a part of the Golf Channel Academy network of coaches, and we look forward to sharing some of our favorite anecdotes and lessons from playing on tour with the viewers at home,” she said.
In addition to being voted the 2010 LPGA National Teacher of the Year and one of the “Best Teachers” in the state of New York – as voted upon by her peers in Golf Digest magazine – Cindy is also a Certified Behavior, Intelligence, Judgment and Motivation Specialist, and member of the National Speakers Association. Her audiences consist of a wide range of companies in the financial sector, sales and athletic arena, and she is the author of the book, Golf 101 for Executives, a guide to help business executives learn the etiquette, rules and culture of the game.
Allen Miller also is ranked among the “Best Teachers” in the state of New York, and is the founder and CEO of Allen Miller Golf. As a Past Champion and Life Member of the PGA Tour, Allen competed for 15 seasons, notching one victory (1974 Tallahassee Open), 18 top-10 finishes and 69 top-25 finishes overall, including a T-15th at the 1975 Masters. Since retiring from the PGA Tour in 1986, Allen has devoted his life to teaching, tapping into his vast knowledge of the swing and own playing experience.
