With updated amenities like a new fan hospitality lounge, main entrance and live music elements, and tournament ambassador Phil Mickelson committed to playing the event,
PGA Tour golf event set to deliver a stellar fan experience for spectators attending Jan. 18-22
LA QUINTA, Calif. – Golf fans and the Coachella Valley community can secure their place at the 2017 CareerBuilder Challenge as tickets are now on sale three months before 58th-annual PGA TOUR golf tournament returns to The Stadium and Jack Nicklaus Tournament Courses at PGA WEST and La Quinta Country Club Jan. 18-22. A complete menu of ticket options and tournament information is available at www.CareerBuilderChallenge.com. The event’s website offers its current ticket specials through Dec. 31.
Inside the ropes, CareerBuilder Challenge tournament ambassador and 42-time PGA TOUR winner Phil Mickelson – the CareerBuilder Challenge’s champion in 2002 and 2004 and a five-time major winner – is already committed to headlining a field of 156 PGA TOUR pros and 156 amateurs to compete over 72 holes.
The Coachella Valley’s social scene is renowned for its accessibility to golf, finer dining and cuisine options and music festivals. All of these avenues will intersect at the CareerBuilder Challenge, which promises to be the sporting and entertainment hub of Southern California for one memorable week in 2017 with the heightened fan experience it is developing.
The CareerBuilder Challenge’s new main entrance at The Stadium Course at PGA WEST will be dressed up to impress its spectators as the tournament’s gates will immediately open up to food trucks (back to the CareerBuilder Challenge for the third consecutive year by popular demand), free fan activities, and tournament exhibitors. There is also a plan for a new hospitality lounge at The Stadium Course which will provide a fun, sporting lounge atmosphere for all spectators.
“The CareerBuilder Challenge staff is leaving no stone unturned in developing and executing a more well-rounded, inclusive fan experience for all ages within our local community and for Southern California sports fans,” CareerBuilder Challenge Executive Director and Desert Classic Charities CEO Nick Raffaele said. “Following the world’s best golfers on the PGA TOUR is always on display for our loyal golf and sports fans.”
The Bob Hope Club and Club 17 – CareerBuilder Challenge’s two exclusive, hospitality pavilions – are also back at The Stadium Course at PGA WEST. Because these venues are of limited capacity and routinely sell out, patrons are encouraged to act fast and reserve these tickets while supplies last.
Perched around The Stadium Course’s 18th green, the Bob Hope Club provides the pinnacle of CareerBuilder Challenge hospitality. It features premium, catered food and a fine beverage selection which is all inclusive, climate-controlled indoor seating and comfortable outdoor box seats, which are the best seats in the house to watch players finish their rounds.
Club 17 overlooks The Stadium Course’s notorious par-3 17th hole aptly named “Alcatraz.” The rocking atmosphere will once again be a popular gathering place to watch players take on one of the PGA TOUR’s most exciting, nerve-wracking and difficult holes. Club 17 also provides views of the 16th green and the 11th fairway.
The following discounted ticket options are now available at www.CareerBuilderChallenge.com through Dec. 31 (all ticket prices revert to at-the-gate prices beginning Jan. 1, 2017):

Jason Dufner won his fourth PGA TOUR title – his first since claiming the 2013 PGA Championship – at the 2016 CareerBuilder Challenge by shooting 25-under-par 263 through the regulation 72 holes (four rounds) and besting David Lingmerth on the second hole of a sudden-death playoff.
