IRVINE, Calif. (October 17, 2016) – The winner of Sunday’s LPGA KEB Hana Bank Championship played three wedges designed and manufactured by Fourteen Golf, the prestigious Japanese club maker.
The 26-year-old native of Spain who played her college golf at Arizona State used the company’s RM-22 wedges in lofts of 50, 54 and 58 degrees en route to her victory.
She birdied the first hole of a two-woman sudden-death playoff at the Sky 72 Golf Club Ocean Course in Incheon, South Korea to claim her first LPGA Tour victory and a winner’s check of $300,000. She shot 69-70-69-70 for a 10-under par total of 278.
“Fourteen Golf would like to congratulate the winner of the KEB Hana Bank Championship,” said Masashi Kamoda, chief operating officer of Fourteen Golf. “We are very proud that she has chosen to use our RM-22 wedges to compete against the greatest female players in the world.”
Earlier this year, the RM-22 wedge was named to the 2016 Golf Digest Hot List.
