The winner of The Safeway Open had Aldila shafts in all his woods. The Aldila Rogue Black series shaft was in his driver and the new Aldila NV 2KXV in his 3 and 5 woods. In addition, Aldila shafts were used by more players in their woods than any other shaft during the event.
“Tour success is the ultimate validation of a shafts performance. The Rogue offers unmatched performance and consistency through the use of advanced, rare, and extremely expensive aerospace materials,” said John Oldenburg, Aldila’s Vice President of Engineering and Product Development. “No other golf shaft on the market today uses the advanced, extremely high modulus, ‘Graphitic Carbon’ fibers that provide performance characteristics never before available in a golf shaft.”
The Aldila Rogue Black is available through leading club manufacturers and distributors worldwide. The Rogue Black has a medium-stiff tip section and slightly higher torque for a mid-high launch with moderate spin. The mid-stiff tip Rogue Black is available in 60, 70 and 80 versions as well as an 85 gram hybrid shaft in R, S, and X flexes. Aldila Rogue shafts are available with a suggested retail price of $449.
The new NV 2KXV incorporates Aldila’s NexGen Micro Laminate Technology™ – new, 25% thinner high performance carbon fiber prepreg with 16% less resin. The result is even more layers of carbon fiber offering maximum consistency and performance. What separated the original NV from other shafts available was what some referred to as its ‘perfect feel’. The NV 2KXV provides for even better feel and performance. This revolutionary design is also slightly counterbalanced, which is ideal for today’s modern heavier head designs and increased length. The NV 2KXV Green offers a low/mid ball flight with low spin, while the NV 2KXV Orange provides for a higher ball flight with more spin. The NV 2KXV has a suggested retail price of $199.99
